What’s new?
Alpaca Push a modern take on Slide-a-Lama, the ICQ match-3 duel

Game interrupted

Push tiles in from three sides. Hover an arrow to see exactly what happens. If the line is full, the far tile is shoved off the board and it is not coming back. Amber frame means crowded, not doomed.
Three alike vanish. Four pay ×2, five pay ×3. Chain them in one turn and the multiplier stacks.
The board refills itself. Replacements come from the same pile as the queue, so clearing a lot pulls that pile forward. A daily starts the same for everybody. What arrives later depends on how you played it.
One queue, two players. The wheel shows what is coming. Greyed tiles belong to your opponent, so yes, you can watch that bomb head their way.
10 30 40 50 60 100
+77 the instant it lands. No matching, no waiting. Then it is gone.
Rocks never move. Nothing gets pushed past them. One sitting on the rim seals that line for the whole game.
5 Frozen tiles slide and fall like any other, they just cannot match yet. The number counts down every move and the cap cracks on the last one, so park it somewhere useful before it wakes up. The queue shows whose hand the next block of ice is heading for.
×2 Golden cells pay double for any match crossing them. Blasts and jackpots pay flat, so aim.
Never matches. Lands, detonates, clears the 3×3 around it. Sorry about your gem.
Every 250 points one alpaca defects from your opponent. Own all six and you win.
15 seconds a turn. Run out and the board plays for you. It plays badly.

Looking for Slide-a-Lama?

Slide-a-Lama came to ICQ in 2004. A 5×5 board, tiles shoved in from three sides, and your rival’s llamas walking over to your side one at a time. You played it against the people in your contact list. Then ICQ shut down and the original went with it.

Alpaca Push is my modern take on that idea. Same board, same shove, same slow theft of somebody else’s herd. Drawn from scratch, runs in a tab on a phone or a desktop, nothing to install.

The main change is the queue. You both draw from the same one and you can see two tiles ahead, so every move you make also hands your rival theirs. There are four bots, 24 campaign levels and a daily board that is the same for everybody.
